QuickBooks Overdue Invoice Automation
How Dun works with QuickBooks
QuickBooks Online covers invoicing and bookkeeping, but chasing an overdue invoice still falls on you: a manual email, a phone call, or nothing at all. Dun connects to your QuickBooks account through Intuit's OAuth flow, so there is no password sharing or API key to manage, and takes over that follow-up work with a 7-stage escalation sequence.
If you run more than one company file in QuickBooks, you can connect each one to Dun separately and manage escalation independently for every business, without mixing invoices or client lists between them.
What syncs from QuickBooks
Dun reads invoice number, amount due, due date, customer name, and customer email from each connected QuickBooks company. When you record a payment inside Dun, that payment writes back to QuickBooks automatically, so your books never fall out of sync from handling collections in a second tool.
Setup in three steps
1. Connect your QuickBooks account
From your Dun dashboard, click Connect QuickBooks and select which company file to authorize if you manage more than one. Intuit's OAuth screen handles the login. Dun never sees or stores your QuickBooks password.
2. Invoices sync automatically
Dun pulls in your open QuickBooks invoices for the connected company and checks status on an ongoing basis. When an invoice is marked paid in QuickBooks, Dun removes it from the escalation queue without you touching anything.
3. Overdue invoices get escalated
Once a QuickBooks invoice passes its due date, Dun sends a sequence of 7 escalation emails from your own address, starting with a friendly nudge and ending with a formal demand letter. Every email is available to preview before it sends.
