Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Dun platform ("Service"), operated by Juridion LLC ("Juridion," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
By accessing or using Dun, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and that you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using Dun on behalf of a business or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. In that case, "you" refers to both you individually and the entity you represent.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Dun is a web-based platform that automates payment reminder emails for freelancers and small businesses. The Service allows you to:
- Connect invoicing platforms (Stripe, QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Wave, Xero) to automatically import invoices.
- Send automated payment reminder emails on an escalating schedule, from friendly nudges to formal demand letters.
- Track invoice payment status and manage client communications.
- Customize email templates and escalation schedules.
Dun sends emails on your behalf. We are a tool; the relationship with your clients is yours alone.
To use Dun, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete registration information.
- Keeping your login credentials secure and confidential.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at support@getdunned.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
The Dun web platform requires a paid subscription after any applicable free trial period. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
- Recurring billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly. You authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on each billing cycle.
- Free trial: If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until the trial ends. You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges.
- Price changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
- Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are given for unused time.
- Failed payments: If a payment fails, we may retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected after reasonable attempts, your access to the Service may be suspended.
All billing is processed through StripeA payment processing platform. Stripe handles all credit card data; we never see or store your card number.. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
This is critical. Dun is designed for legitimate business use: sending payment reminders to people and businesses that owe you money for goods or services you have already provided.
You must have a legitimate business relationshipAn existing, documented relationship where goods or services have been provided and payment is owed. This means a real invoice for real work. with every person you send a reminder to through Dun.
You may not use Dun to:
- Send unsolicited commercial email (spam) or marketing messages.
- Contact people who do not owe you money.
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate any person.
- Send fraudulent invoices or demand payment for goods or services not actually provided.
- Violate CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or any applicable email or consumer protection law.
- Attempt to impersonate another business or individual.
- Collect debts you do not have the legal right to collect.
- Circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access controls.
Violation of this policy will result in immediate termination of your account without refund.
Dun sends emails on your behalf using our email delivery infrastructure. You are solely responsible for:
- All emails sent through the Service, including their content, timing, and recipients.
- The accuracy of invoice data, amounts, and client contact information you enter.
- Ensuring you have the legal right to contact each recipient about the debt in question.
- Compliance with all applicable laws governing electronic communications in both your jurisdiction and the recipient's jurisdiction.
Juridion LLC is not a party to any email sent through the Service and bears no liability for the content, delivery, or consequences of those emails.
When you connect a third-party platform (Stripe, QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Wave, Xero) to Dun, you authorize us to:
- Access and import invoice data from that platform.
- Read customer and payment status information necessary to determine which invoices are overdue.
- Periodically sync data to keep your Dun account up to date.
We access only the minimum data required. We do not modify, delete, or create records in your connected platforms unless you explicitly initiate an action (such as marking an invoice as paid).
You can disconnect any integration at any time from your account settings. Disconnecting revokes our access immediately.
The Dun platform, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is owned by Juridion LLC and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You retain full ownership of all content you create or upload, including invoice data, client information, and custom email templates. We do not claim any rights over your content.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works based on the Dun platform.
When you use Dun, you may upload personal data belonging to your clients (names, email addresses, invoice amounts). In this context, you are the data controllerThe entity that determines the purposes and means of processing personal data. As a Dun user, you are the controller for your clients' data. and Juridion LLC acts as a data processorA third party that processes personal data on behalf of the data controller, under the controller's instructions..
We process your clients' data only to provide the Service (sending payment reminders, syncing invoices) as instructed by you. We do not use your clients' data for any other purpose.

We strive to keep Dun available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance (we aim to provide advance notice).
- Unplanned outages or infrastructure issues.
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as third-party service disruptions.
We are not liable for any damages resulting from Service downtime or interruptions.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITYAn implied warranty that a product is fit for the ordinary purposes for which such products are used., FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that:
- Payment reminder emails will result in payment from your clients.
- Emails sent through the Service will be delivered successfully to every recipient.
- The Service will be free of errors, bugs, or interruptions.
- Invoice data synced from third-party platforms will be completely accurate.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JURIDION LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
IN NO EVENT SHALL JURIDION LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Lost profits or revenue.
- Lost business opportunities.
- Reputational harm.
- Damages arising from emails sent through the Service.
- Damages arising from data loss or unauthorized access to your account.
You agree to indemnifyTo compensate someone for a loss or expense. Here, it means you agree to cover costs if your use of Dun causes legal problems for us. and hold harmless Juridion LLC, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service.
- Emails sent through your Dun account.
- Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
- Your violation of any third party's rights.
- Content or data you provide to the Service.
By you: You can cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time from your account settings.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate the Acceptable Use Policy (Section 05).
- Engage in fraudulent activity.
- Fail to pay subscription fees after reasonable notice.
- Materially breach any provision of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days to allow you to export it, after which it will be permanently deleted (unless retention is required by law).
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Dispute Resolution) will survive.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@getdunned.com and attempt to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days.
If informal resolution fails, any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Mexico. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- Notify you by email (if you have an account) at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current version is always available at getdunned.com/eula.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Juridion LLC regarding the Service.
